Counselling for the moments when life feels harder than it looks
You may be navigating anxiety, burnout, relationship concerns, a major transition—or simply the sense that something in your life needs greater attention. Counselling offers a thoughtful space to understand what is happening beneath the surface and move forward with greater clarity and intention.

What Counselling With Andrea Looks Like
Hi, I’m Andrea Laurie, a Canadian Certified Counsellor and certified coach. I support thoughtful, capable people who may appear to be managing well while privately feeling anxious, depleted, disconnected or uncertain about what needs to change.
Our sessions are warm, collaborative and tailored to what matters most to you. You do not need to arrive with a diagnosis, a perfectly defined goal or a plan. We can begin with what feels most present and make sense of the patterns, pressures and experiences influencing how you feel.
You bring expertise in your own life. I bring careful listening, psychology-informed insight and practical support as we explore what you need and find a more grounded way forward.
You're in the right place.
Common Themes We Can Explore Together:
-
Career Stress & Burnout
You may feel depleted, disconnected from your work or unsure whether the path you are on still fits. Counselling can help you understand what is contributing to the strain and consider what meaningful, sustainable change might look like. -
Anxiety & Overwhelm
When your mind is constantly anticipating, analyzing or second-guessing, even ordinary decisions can feel exhausting. Together, we can explore the patterns beneath the anxiety and develop a steadier, more trusting relationship with yourself. -
Life Transitions
Change can bring uncertainty even when it is chosen or welcomed. Counselling offers space to process what you are leaving behind, understand what this stage is asking of you and move into what comes next with greater intention. -
Parenthood & Identity
The transition into parenthood can bring complex and sometimes conflicting emotions. Whether you are hoping to become a parent, preparing for a new chapter or adjusting to life after birth, counselling can provide space for your full experience and evolving sense of self. -
Relationships & Connection
Relationships can bring questions about communication, boundaries, trust and recurring patterns. We can explore what is happening within your relationships, what you need and how you want to show up within them. -
Boundaries & Confidence
Confidence is not always about becoming bolder. Sometimes it means trusting your own perspective, understanding your needs and communicating them more clearly. Our work can help you strengthen that sense of self in both your personal and professional life.

Counselling depth, with practical support for what comes next
My background in both counselling and coaching allows us to make room for the emotional reality of your experience while also considering the choices, conversations and next steps ahead.
My approach is warm, perceptive and collaborative. We may explore past experiences, present patterns and the expectations you carry—but the work remains connected to the life you are living now and the changes you want to make.
You do not have to choose between meaningful reflection and forward movement.
Ready for your life to change?
Thoughtful support, from your own space
Sessions are offered virtually, allowing you to meet from a private and familiar environment without adding travel time to an already full life.
Individual appointments are 45 minutes and $275. You will receive a counselling receipt that may be eligible for reimbursement through extended health benefits. Because plans vary, please confirm that your provider covers sessions with a Canadian Certified Counsellor.
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.
